The year is 1588. Spain is the strongest country in the world. The Spanish king, Philip II, is a proud Catholic. England, ruled by Queen Elizabeth I, is a Protestant country. When the Catholic queen, Mary, Queen of Scots, is executed by Elizabeth, Spain is ready to attack. As the Spanish Armada sails towards England, Elizabeth prepares to protect her country, her people and her position as queen.
