Adolf Hitler was dictator of Nazi Germany form 1933 to 1945. His plan to make Germany into a mighty empire was riddled with hatred and prejudice. As leader of the Nazi party, he provoked World War II and conquered most of Europe before his regime was defeated in 1945-but not before destroying millions of lives and leaving Germany divided.
