The Camel Boy (Tales From The East) / The Camel Boy" is the story of young Chanan, the pampered son of a wealthy Jewish merchant from Tyre who runs away from home to seek adventure in the wide world. Disguised as a scruffy Arab camel boy, Chanan joins a caravan and travels to Jerusalem, Beersheba and fabulous Alexandria in Egypt. He meets many interesting and colorful characters, and he experiences the frantic activity of the caravansaries, the endless serenity of the desert and the hustle and bustle of great metropolises.
