Italian Unification 1820-71 is the ideal book for students studying the Risorgimento and the events which led to Italy's unification in 1870. It examines topics including the roles played by foreign powers, the Church and key individuals, as well as dealing in depth with the economic, social and cultural divisions which existed in Italy during this period. It forms part of the new Heinemann Advanced History series which has been written specifically to cover modules set by each of the three Awarding Bodies (OCR, Edexcel and AQA).
